Mission
Anadyr Horizon is building the world’s first predictive simulation platform for geopolitical crisis management. We serve national security, finance, and insurance leaders who can’t afford to be surprised. As Chief of Staff you will be the CEO’s primary force multiplier - converting chaos into systems, ambiguity into clarity, and vision into traction. You’ll also serve as chief brand architect, ensuring that every strategic decision and public signal reinforces a clear, cohesive, and magnetic brand narrative.
Core Responsibilities
1. CEO Force Multiplier (Time, Priorities, and Pressure)
- Maintain the CEO Priorities Board across R&D, GTM, fundraising, partnerships, and internal ops
- Own the structure and guardrails of the CEO’s calendar: protect deep-work time, reduce switching costs
- Rebuild each week around what matters most - not what’s loudest
- Track and close the loop on all CEO commitments across external and internal threads
- Manage a live Deliverables Tracker to prevent drop-off and ensure accountability across the org
- Chase items quietly but persistently - managing up, down, and across with diplomatic finesse
2. Internal Operating System & Insight Loops
- Co-lead Mission Control meetings, Go/No-Go briefs, ExComm, BOD, and Strategy Council prep
- Ensure materials are tight, facts are ready, and meetings result in clear outcomes
- Maintain a live Decision Log to preserve institutional memory and track strategic commitments
- Synthesize learnings from GTM, investor feedback, analytics, and product iterations
- Drive cross-functional retrospectives that link external signals to internal strategy shifts
3. Strategic Communications & Brand Stewardship
- Own CEO’s personal brand: help craft LinkedIn posts, memos, op-eds, and public reflections tied to product, funding, or milestone moments
- Build and enforce a multi-channel content calendar across social, events, and strategic communications
- Run email/SMS nurture sequences for investors, partners, and policy influencers via HubSpot, Klaviyo, or equivalent
- Manage external communications partners (PR, design, video), including brand-asset libraries and campaign execution
- Track leading indicators of brand equity (engagement, sentiment, SOV, branded search lift) and brief the CEO
4. Brand Architecture & Growth Infrastructure
- Craft, document, and evolve Anadyr’s brand positioning, story, and voice in partnership with the CEO
- Maintain a living Brand Style Guide covering tone, visual identity, and messaging hierarchy
- Lead brand audits and quarterly diagnostics (e.g., NPS, SOV, aided/unaided awareness) using tools like Qualtrics, Statista, or Typeform
- Ensure SEO hygiene and discoverability via tools like SurferSEO, Ahrefs, or SEMrush
- Coordinate and analyze performance marketing campaigns (Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn) with reporting via Looker Studio or Databox
- Build lightweight reporting workflows (e.g., Zapier, Make) to pull metrics from ads, email, web, and social into CEO‑ready dashboards
- Maintain a Brand/Growth KPI dashboard visualizing reach, engagement, sentiment, and conversion trends weekly and monthly
5. Triage, Shielding, and External Filtering
- Qualify inbound and serve as a diplomatic filter for the CEO - without ego, bureaucracy, or friction
- Run point on early-stage conversations with VCs, clients, and ecosystem players to assess intent
- Capture meeting notes, synthesize relevance, and route high-signal leads for CEO engagement
- Publish and engage across key channels via Hootsuite, Sprout, or Buffer; monitor brand sentiment with tools like Brandwatch or Mention
Who You Are
- Former Chief of Staff, Product Marketing or Growth lead, Management Consultant, BizOps lead, Founder’s Associate, or similarly elite strategy operator.
- Deeply attuned to international politics, human complexity, and the systems that shape our world.
- Ruthlessly clear‑headed and radically reliable; chase without annoying, organize without over‑engineering, protect without hiding.
- Equal parts operator and brand strategist - because execution is story, and story is strategy.
- Comfortable configuring and operating a modern brand‑builder stack (e.g., GA4, Ahrefs, Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Canva, HubSpot) and translating the numbers into strategic narrative.
- Creative storyteller who can move fluidly from a LinkedIn post to a Board memo to a conference keynote deck.
- Play for the team, not the spotlight. Small ego, strong instincts.
- Believe influence isn’t just built in rooms - it’s built in the stories those rooms tell the world.
Preferred Qualifications
- 4+ years in early‑stage startups, national security, strategy, or operations roles.
- Demonstrated ownership of brand development or repositioning projects - including definition of brand architecture, messaging, and visual identity.
- Proven track record running multichannel content or growth campaigns; proficiency with at least three tools from our stack - e.g., GA4, Jasper/ChatGPT, Hootsuite or Sprout Social, Ahrefs/SEMrush, HubSpot, Google Ads, Looker Studio.
- Exceptional writing skills; prior authorship of executive communications or thought‑leadership in international politics, emerging tech, or crisis management content a strong plus.
- Familiarity with dual‑use tech, venture capital, geopolitical risk, peacetech, or simulation highly desirable.
- Highly confident in CRM basics, Wix.com, MS Office, Google Workspace; exposure to no‑code automation (Zapier, Make) and data dashboards (Looker Studio, Databox) a major plus.
What This Role Is Not
- A glorified EA: You won’t book travel or negotiate directly with vendors (that’s covered elsewhere).
- A detached strategy role: You’ll be in charge of operations - chasing, enforcing, drafting, and integrating.
- A marketing‑comms silo: You’re shaping external perception because you understand internal priorities.
- A nice title without ownership: You will work directly with the CEO, shaping the operating cadence—and public signal - of the company from the inside out.
Compensation
- Salary, benefits, and equity commensurate with experience.
- Full trust, inside access, and the ability to directly shape a fast-moving tech company at the frontier of AI, geopolitics, and global decision infrastructure.
