Eurasia Strategy Insights is seeking a Volunteer Research Analyst with a focus on Central and South Asia, with a particular emphasis on Indian politics and trade. This exciting opportunity offers hands-on training in global risk research, allowing you to explore geopolitical events and trends in one of the world’s most strategically important regions. As a volunteer, you will collaborate with our team of experts to produce insightful analyses and reports that will be featured on the ESI website, providing you with valuable exposure and experience. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about geopolitics and keen to deepen their understanding of the geopolitical landscape in Central and South Asia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth research on geopolitical developments in Central and South Asia, with a focus on Indian politics and trade.
- Analyse regional events, economic trends, and policy shifts to produce insightful reports.
- Collaborate with senior analysts to refine your findings and contribute to ESI’s publications.
- Stay informed on current events and emerging issues within the region to provide timely analysis.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Completed or pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Geopolitics, International Relations, Political Science, Economics, South Asian Studies, or related fields.
- Strong academic or professional understanding of Central and South Asia, with a preference for expertise in Indian politics and trade.
- Ability to analyse regional developments and draw insightful conclusions using research skills and open-source intelligence (OSINT).
- Proficiency in creating and writing impactful and incisive reports.
- Passion for current affairs and world events.
- Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in a regional language such as Hindi, Urdu, or a Central Asian language (Desirable).
