About the Role:
Seerist is looking for an Open-Source Investigations Analyst to join our Collections team. In this role, you will research and analyze sources for Seerist’s platform with a focus on political, security, and operational risks. This includes carrying out deep research into sources and their reliability. You will also contribute to investigations into misinformation networks, and work on written analytical products for Seerist clients.
This is a Hybrid role, 3 days a week in the office
Role and Responsibilities:
- Identify and obtain access to online media sources relevant to Seerist’s customer base.
- Analyze misinformation sources and networks, assessing their influence on the information and security environments.
- Maintain understanding of the changing ways mainstream and alternative social media platforms are used.
- Contribute to developing and maintaining analytical products on security and geopolitical risk.
- Work with Customer Success and New Business teams to support Seerist’s growth.
Requirements:
- 2-4 years of experience in security risk analysis or open-source investigations for security risk management
- Strong experience producing written security analysis reports with a focus on clarity, precision, and actionable insights
- Advanced analytical skills, with the ability to make informed assessments when information is incomplete or uncertain
- Demonstrated practical knowledge of geopolitical issues, with the ability to connect this to source collection
- Flexibility – we’re a small company that moves and reacts quickly to the needs of our users
Desired Qualifications:
- Proficiency in an additional language beyond English.
- Experience working with Product, Development and Data Science teams
- Experience in a Due Diligence or Corporate Investigations role
- Experience in journalism
