About My Client
My client is a founder-led strategic intelligence and advisory firm operating at the nexus of geopolitical risk, adversarial threat, and regulatory complexity. They serve a selective client base spanning defense and dual-use technology, biotechnology, and legal organizations managing high-consequence matters.
The firm's value proposition is straightforward: they translate complex intelligence into executable decisions. Not reports. Not frameworks. Action.
Currently in an active growth phase, my client is a lean, high-caliber organization backed by a senior advisor network with deep roots in national security, geopolitics, financial crime, and technology governance.
The Role
My client is seeking a senior fractional Business Development leader to help expand the firm's presence across its core markets. This is not a role for someone who relies on inherited pipelines or structured playbooks — it is a role for someone who generates opportunity through credibility, judgment, and trusted relationships.
The right person will be comfortable building from a foundation rather than scaling something already built, and will understand that in an environment like this, how you represent the firm is part of the firm's product.
What You'll Bring
- A demonstrated history of originating business within defense, national security, legal, or emerging technology ecosystems
- An established network across relevant communities — government, prime contractors, policy circles, or adjacent advisory environments
- Sharp commercial instincts and the ability to quickly assess where the firm's capabilities create genuine, differentiated value
- The presence and discretion to represent the firm effectively in high-trust, relationship-driven settings where reputation is the primary currency
- Familiarity with government contracting mechanisms — OTAs, SBIR, agency engagement models — is a meaningful plus, particularly given the firm's current trajectory toward federal sector expansion
