The Role
Horizon Engage is seeking an energetic, efficient and affable geopolitical analyst to join our fast-growing Sub-Saharan Africa practice as Research Associate.

In addition to helping run the team, you will write your own high-quality analysis on the region, its political and economic landscape and its intersection with the global resources industry. You will brief our clients and build relationships with them that support the firm’s editorial and commercial plans.
Key Responsibilities
The Research Associate will support the Director in managing regional responsibilities, including:

● Network development: Grow our expert advisor network with a focus on deep Subject Matter Experts with a fingertip feel for the priorities and relative influence of key stakeholders in national energy and mining sector leaderships.
● Regional analysis: Aggregate country-level trends into regional or sub-regional reports that deliver fresh insights about emerging trends connecting multiple investment jurisdictions.
● Client relations: Maintain clear communications with clients alongside the Director and our commercial colleagues to ensure coverage relevance in a dynamic regional environment.
● External events: Attend conferences to present our analysis, meet our clients and build networks across the region.
