POSITION
We are looking for an Analyst to join our Singapore office and support research, policy advisory, and client engagement work across Singapore and Southeast Asia. This is an opportunity for someone who is deeply interested in politics, public policy, economics, trade, and regulation, and who wants to apply rigorous analysis to business and government affairs challenges. The strongest candidates are likely to be those who enjoy making sense of complex issues, writing clearly and persuasively, and working in a fast-paced, client-oriented environment.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct research and analysis on political, policy, regulatory, and economic developments
- Track legislative, regulatory, and policy changes relevant to clients, and assess their strategic implications
- Support the development of client advice by identifying key risks, opportunities, and stakeholder dynamics
- Conduct research through both desk-based analysis and engagement with government agencies, industry players, and other relevant stakeholders
- Draft high-quality client deliverables, including analytical reports, briefing notes, memos, presentations, and meeting summaries
- Support business development efforts by preparing proposals, background briefs, and client-facing materials
- Participate in client meetings, workshops, and external engagements, and where appropriate represent V&P in these settings
- Contribute to internal knowledge-building on key sectors, policy themes, and market developments
QUALIFICATIONS
- 1-4 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in:
- a ministry, statutory board, or other public sector institution
- government affairs, public policy, or public affairs
- strategic communications or public relations
- consulting, political risk, or related advisory work
- Strong interest in politics, public policy, and Singapore and regional developments
- Good understanding of Singapore’s policy and regulatory landscape
- Interest in business and industry developments in sectors such as technology, consumer industries, healthcare, energy, financial services, and industrials
- Excellent research and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex issues
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to work with professionalism
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines
- A proactive attitude, intellectual curiosity, and a willingness to learn quickly
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a multicultural team
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant discipline, such as political science, international relations, economics, public policy, business, or law
